Beaming widely at the offers of assistance Youngdead reassures his companions that their healing talents shouldn't be necessary if his talents pass muster. He does seem a bit more concerned as the group continues walking through the fantastically magical city. "Mr. Dibbler," Youngdead asks, "of what you know about these beasts, have they been known to cast spells upon their prey?" He readies himself for battle based on Dibbler's response before they reach the wall.

Dibbler walks along, towering above you yet tired and slow enough you can keep up he begins to explain "Only i can effectively fix the wall, anyone else that could is completely exhausted to the point they wont be able to get up in a few days, and those who cant are doing their best keeping the calm of the city, despite how it looks, everyone is tense and on the edge of panic."
With a more serious look, he then begins to explain the details on the operation itself "They look like large wolves, sorrounded in a variety of elements, im not quite sure but my guess is they have resistances or immunities to a certain element or kind of magic, and their teamwork as a pack helps them take the hit for a member of the pack that isnt resistant to it, at least thats what i figure from how much they shift around every time someone tries to send a spell their way, they also seem to be able to tell beforehand what kind of spell is being cast nearby."
"They cant seem to cast spells, but their melee attacks seem to have their elements infused in them, and on their own they dont seem too tough, but they have focused a large pack at the front, 20 or more id say, and their speed, cunning and teamwork makes it difficult to separate them, so the plan is as follows, not far from their main pack is a set of small hills, easy for a humanoid to go up or down them but their large stair-like climb makes it difficult for a cuadruped, we will levitate you to the top of that area where you will isolate one or two of them, that should make it easy to trap one of them in this device." he finishes holding what clearly looks like a wand inside the barrel of a miniature cannon, he explain that a dial on the side is used to select which element it is supposed to capture, and from there on inpact it will create a magical prison of the element contrary to that of the creature, it was proven to work but the wolves also seemed to understand what it was beforehand, like they could sense the elements within, and so without isolating them it proved pointless, hence the plan.
As he finishes explaining this, he makes a small platform appear on the wall, still large enough for all of you to fit on it, and as you do, it swiftly rises to the top, not so fast to make anyone sick, but fast enough to give a sense of rush, as you reach the top the first thing you notice is that the wall is about 5m thick, then you see the beautiful fields past the wall, from so high you can see grasslands and farms, to your left you can see aforest with a gigantic tree flowering in the center, almost shadowing the rest of the forest entirely, fields and clifs and mountains and even beaches, everything new and unknown as if even the very air was different, and then you see them below, a furious pack of beasts taking turns to attack the wall, with every claw cutting trough the stone as if it was jelly, not far from you there is a sort of sideways crater on the wall which Dibbler quickly rushes to start fixing, a trio of magicians in some kind of magic armor are waiting for all of you in order they introduce themselves "My name is one-flower!" says the eldest, looking a bit scared to the beasts below, "Mine is two-flower!" says the second, taking care of his -pet- a chest with countless legs which seems like it wants to eat the wolves, "And i'm three-flower!" says the youngest, at the edge of the wall shooting small spells at the wolves as if taunting them with pranks.

The ride up the wall elicits a quickly stifled, "Whooaaaa" from the goliath. The sight from the top of the wall was nearly breathtaking, reminding him of his home range were it not for the alien foliage. A moment after the introductions Youngdead steps forward and asks, "Mister Flower, how quickly can you get us to our rendezvous with these beasts?" He then turns to the group of hired adventurers and suggests, "One of you," taking a more thorough look at the group he focuses on Keryth for the rest of the sentence, "ought to have this device at the ready. Do you think you can handle its use on the battlefield? It will be of no use in my hands."

Asking the flower children, how is this used and what skills would a person need to use it best?
If any of you see me use a different wand that creates an effect, as opposed to a spell, I would suggest not stepping in the affected area.

Raising an eyebrow Youngdead asks Keryth, "What do you mean by that? Should we be concerned for our safety?" Youngdead's magical knowledge is mostly gleaned from altercations with magic wielders, which do not tend to end well for the magic wielders.

Some things which I cast will make things slippery, which I think you will be able to be OK in so long as you have good balance.
A couple of my wands will be helpful to you, make you attack first hopefully.
Others, from my wands, will slow you down and tangle you up. Or just make it so you cannot see through a cloud. If I use those types however, I'll keep them away from you and use if we are getting large numbers of attackers for instance.
So long as I have a good idea of the direction your moving, we should have no problem.

"Staying on my feet is crucial for my success in this mission," Youngdead asserts. "I'd like it if you didn't cast your slipping spell under me." He nods respectfully, adding, "Though the chance to get a jump on my foes would be quite handy."

"I think that slippery spell would be extremely effective if you cast it as they try to climb up the hill.. Hello, One, Two, and Three!" Blossom looks around a bit taking in the surroundings. She was quite glad there was more than just some city here. She really wanted to look around now, but there were these.. wolf things. Clearly not normal wolves at all. Speaking to either Dibbler or the trio of mages, she asks, "So has anyone tried .. um.. talking to them?"

I'll make sure I don't let you get slipped up.
Although if you have good balance you may be O.K. and the "wolves" might not...
Not to worry though, I'll keep an eye out to help you and not hurt you.
Turning to Blossom. Good point on the hill part. Or for those who can fly over the goo, it could come in handy.

"Much appreciate your efforts," Youngdead nods to Keryth. He grits his teeth as Blossom suggests a diplomatic approach to ferocious beasts. "Some things can't be reasoned with, though she seems innocent enough to have not discovered this yet." He sighs but says nothing aloud, waiting patiently for his martial prowess to be relevant.

Keama drops everything and looks into the distance.
Did anyone else just feel that? Like, something, a pillar of the world, just... gone...
He stands and stares into the horizon for some time.

Feel What?
Perhaps one of the "elephants" blossom mentioned?

A quizzical look overcomes Youngdead's usually stoic expression. He stomps the solid ground beneath his feet, raises his finger indicating that he has something to add but doesn't speak yet. From this vantage point the serene nature of the horizon was juxtaposed by the elemental wolf-beasts thrashing about beneath the group's perch. Everything seemed completely out of line with any reasonable expectations, yet it all seemed perfectly suited and one could say almost normal for this place. Youngdead pondered his position in the events that have taken place thus far. This morning he had woken to a hearty breakfast at an inn of a pleasant old couple on his way from a visit with some friends. He then abruptly found himself among total strangers, regurgitating the meal he was only moments before fondly remembering as he signed up for his latest quest. The fantastic things he had seen, or at least thought that he had seen, could barely be explained. But the part that he still had difficulty with was their need for his services. Surely these mages had their tricks. His concerns didn't dissuade him, he had signed up to help these people and they have offered him suitable payment. Finally he broke his silence, " If we are needed to fix the pillar issue, I'm confident we will be summoned. For now, we have to deal with these beasts." Keama, way too meta for me. But I appreciate it none the less.

Penelope stares off in the distance for a second. Did anyone feel that? I feel...like the beans I had for lunch are not settling well.

You can tell most of the people around you suddenly become sad out of nowhere, but either way the trio focuses on the important task at hand and levitate with you to the clif area, so.... start preparing everything you want to prepare, the wolves havent noticed you yet so no need to roll initiative, other than that.... roll spot or knowledge (nature), this roll is something that could be important in the long run like, might even be a different adventure but we shall see, this one is far from over anyway.
(OOC: sorry it was such a short post, but there wasnt really anything else to answer and what happens next depends on you guys, ill let you prepare and will post at the begining of combat or if any more questions arise, either way ill have a map ready by my next post)

Offering any who want some extra help in not getting hit, from one of my wands.
Fumbling and mumbling with two gold coins before putting it back in a separate, empty, belt pouch so I don't get it confused with other coins.
I request that if you see me drop a coin or other small object, that you leave it there. It will help us scout out the area I drop it in later in the day if required.

"I would appreciate any spell you believe would enhance my natural combat prowess." Youngdead nods to Keryth, "Thank you, friend. And I will absolutely leave any items you leave behind." He prepares himself mentally for the upcoming battle with these unknown enemies.

Keama looks at the wizard with great sadness in his eyes.
Really? can't I just take it? Please? Maybe replace it with a fake coin or... Oh fine.
He looks around, trying to get a sense of the place...

I'll buy the first round of cheese once we get back to safety if it stays put.
Just think of it as extensions to my eyes and ears should we need to investigate someplace we have traveled before when on the way back.

Blossom also feels sad, though she really doesn't know why. Thinking back to the task at hand, she takes in the vista overlooking the land and the wolves attacking the wall. "I guess you guys should set up your trap thing here... would you.. would you mind if I tried to talk to them? I don't know if it will work, but if they wind up chasing me, I could lead them back here."
Addressing Keryth specifically, she says, "I guess if you have any magic that might help protect me, I'll gladly accept it. Do you want me to hold one of your special coins too?"
