A cold night loomed on the city of Ashabenford, capital of the dalelands, the people already scared and on alert from the recent incidents, but in the forests north of the city, a shadow loomed hidden, stalking for a way in, a being so dark that not even herself could realize, a being of death and darkness, and more importantly, a being too scared to talk to people most of the time.
My, why did i end up coming to such a large city of all places, its going to be difficult to make friends if i cant even enter to begin with. She said to no one in particular as she rummaged her disguise kit for something to hide her horns with, I guess this wool hat should do.
The cold didn't affect her too much, and after a moment of preparation she left the safety of the forest and departed to the dangerous city she had to face, one of the many self-righteous adventurers that tried to kill her had a bounty board, a call for help from the city's council apparently, this had peeked into Tyrelia's curiosity, and she had suddenly departed to learn more about said request, the disguise wasnt too difficult, she almost looked human.
The farms near the city were empty, the farmers either sleeping or gone missing, so she could walk calmly that part, and the dalelands being mostly small settlements, not even in the capital did she have to cross a guarded gate, she asked a guard for where might she find a place to stay, and he answered with a direction, So the disguise is working, good, a sigh of relief as she moves onwards, a caravan nearby as she enters the local inn.
(Genindy, and whoever else wants to join up on this, is free to introduce themselves now as you see fit)

Tyrelia entered to find a boysterous little crowd in the local inn. Several halflings appeared to be the centre of attention, including one scantily clad, obviously drunk female halfling, her hair almost as long as she is tall and a large mass of bright red curls, who was currently dancing (rather badly) and singing some sort of halfling drinking song on a table along with a male gnome. Half a dozen other halflings had gathered in a circle, also singing and clapping along as the pair danced. The human innkeep looked looked a little annoyed but otherwise seemed unbothered by the noise. The large pile of coin the halflings had placed on the bench probably soothed things. Sitting slightly off from the table and not entirely joingin in with the fun was another female halfling, her hair also a bright red, but deliberately cut short like a man. She wore scale mail armor and displayed the symbol for the God Avoreen (crossed short-swords) on her chestplate.
"Another friend to join the party?" Genindy stopped singing dancing long enough to call out to the newcomer through the door. "Join us!" The Halfling Paladin looked up toward the door at who Genindy had called out to, she stared for a moment, narrowing her eyes before looking back to her plate of food.

Tyrelia's eyes fill with wonder, she had traveled quite a bit, but she had yet to witness such a fun and jolly little group "My my, that does look like fun!" still in her disguisse, yet nearly forgetting about it, she joins the little party and starts clapping along.
Noticing another halfling in the back, at some point she asks "Is she not joining us?"
(PS: sorry for the short post, gotta go really soon)

Keama has been sitting huddled over a plater of of cheese and fish, nibbling furtively at a herring's head while watching the enjoyment play out. When the newcomer comes in, he looks searchingly at them for second, grins a sly little grin, and motions for them to sit.
Yeah toots, come in, sit down, relax... Take your hat off...

Tyrelia realizes something is wrong with that person, or rather, he knows something is wrong with her, so she goes along for now and sits next to him, "My, did you want to speak with me mister... sorry what should i call you?"

The gnome grins widely, showing a mouth full of oddly shaped teeth.
It appears we have an understanding.
He gestures around the room, filled as it is with various lively halflings and gnomes, where it appears that this single stands out, mostly by his attempts not to stand out.
My first hint was that the ginger wearing the bucket over there didn't take a shine to you, she immediately caught on to me as well. Seeing as you actually haven't commited any crimes, she can't have you arrested, but that won't stop her from keeping an eye on you.
You're new in town, same here, I've only got here a few days ago, but the outlook is promising. I'm not entirely sure what your schtick is, but I hope you've got more to you than just a friendly face.
The gnome extends a grubby, long-nailed hand.
Keama Zin, looking forward to working with you.

Tyrelia shakes the gnomes hand with her own scaly and clawed hand "Pleased to meet you as well, my name is Tyrelia Vess, and as you can see, im not exactly normal, either way, im mostly passing by here, on the way to Tilverton", she shows Keama the sheet of paper detailing some kind of request.
"Figured it was a good opportunity to get some coin and make some allies."

Keama's light up with interest when he sees the proferred hand and he shakes it eagerly.
Coin and allies you say? This sounds like destiny, really doesn't it?
Keama looks furtively about.
Truth be told, it's been getting a bit hostile around here. Apparently there's been a rash of break-ins.
The little gnome shrugs his shoulders, attempting complete ignorance of the situation.

Tyrelia lifts an eyebrow in confusion, then chuckles "My my thats so very terrible for them, but then again i dont live here so i dont really care, they would attack me on sight just for my looks anyway so serves them right."
She didnt remember where it was she learned about sarcasm, probably with the first daring adventurer that broke into her home and then proceeded to call her a spawn of evil and attack her, she never did quite get why they keep doing that. "Oh my, the staring gaze at the back of my neck tells me we really arent quite welcome here, what do you say we deppart early tomorrow to this Tilverton place?"

Oh them, don't mind 'em. They're all a little freaked out because of the monster that runs around the gutters swiping their valuables....
Keama takes a moment to think over what he just said.
So yeah, maybe tomorrow we'll head on over to whereever-the-hell-you're-going. I'm kinda new up here... I mean around here...
It appears the little creature is slowly coming to realise that he is not quite so subtle as he thought he was...
I'll get us some rooms.

Tyrelia stands up quickly "Dont worry, i will, i dare say i dont stand out as much and right now i think thats a priority." she goes over to the counter and quickly gets two rooms, her disguise did in fact work, the halfling on the other side must have had some kind of special sense.
She gets back to the table and hands the gnome the room keys for his room, "I suggest you sleep early, i plan to be outside this establishment before dawn so its still dark."

Keama looks a little miffed at this idea.
Huh, no late nights huh? Ain't that a stinker. He looks across at the revery in the centre of the tavern.
Maybe I'll try a turn before I turn in...

Tyrelia goes ahead and starts going upstairs "My, good luck with that, see you tommorrow mister Keama." she waves goodbye and goes up to sleep, not many belongings, she didnt have to worry about that thief or whatever, its not like anything she had she would really miss.

Keama eventually stomps up the stairs after an hour or two, with less friends than he started with, muttering about loose morals and missed opportunities.

At exactly 5AM Tyrelia casually walks down the stairs, and goes to outside the establishment, looking surprised she then moves on to a corner, where a dark creature lurks in wait "Rincewind! i told you to wait for me in the forest, what did you not understand from that?"
She sighs, pauses for a moment, looks around "My my, did you bring Arthur and Marisa as well? What am i going to do with the lot of you? just, go over there and hide with the rest ok, ill be coming along soon."

Keama ambles out the door of the inn, yawning and still grumbling to himself. He lightens up a little when he says Tyrelia has some companions.
See, it's not that hard to make some friends after all, you've gone and...
Then he sees what her new friends really are and his eyes pop out of his head.
Oh-my-word-would-you-look-at-that-wandering-around-in-densely-populated-area-I-didn't-think-five-in-the-morning-was-a-good-time-for-a-run-but-I-guess-it-is-now!!!!
He grabs Tyrelia by the arm.
We have to go now!

Tyrelia sighs as they quickly leave the town, "Well as you can see, my friends arent easily understood, they normally have to hide in the forest or such place, i wonder whatmade them leave their hiding place."
After the two get outside, the 3 ghouls are seen moving back to the forest, where several pairs of yellow glowing eyes look furtively from "They will likely try to follow me anyway but at least they will do so from a safe distance and well hidden."
She then looks around, making sure its safe, and glints and the still barely rising sun "My my i digress, shall we head on to Tilverton then?"

Keama spends a few seconds catching his breath, the little bugger is surprisngly fast for a gnome, before he eventually stands upright looks at the city, and pouts.
Dang it, I was looking forward to watching that burn.
He looks at his new travelling companion.
Interesting company you keep. I can only assume you aren't used to moving around near towns... or people. But it's nice to see you can make your own friends anyway.
Keama swallows hard.
Gonna be a fair trip to Tilverton and this sounds like an interesting enough story, I'd be delighted to hear it....
OOC: Yes, obviously, you can just gloss over this or cover whatever else you want. Keama is just trying to figure out all of your tricks.
