Superior Finesse[General, Fighter]
You deal extra damage with light weapons because you know how to cut with it.
Prerequisites: Dex 13+, 1nt 13+, Combat Expertise, Weapon Finesse(any)
Benefit: Choose any weapon you have the Weapon Finesse feat with. You may add your Dexterity bonus to damage instead of your Strength modifier.

Awesome idea. Makes a Dex build viable. I approve this feat.

Definitely something that was always lacking in DnD. My halflings will all make good use of this.

I think there is a slight balance issue in this, however. For instance, strength offers: ability to break down obstacles/objects, higher encumbrance limits, better swim/jump skill, and.. uh.. ability to break free of bonds? And well, there is melee accuracy and damag of course, with big heavy weapons and power attack... (Did I miss anything??) Now consider what DEX adds: AC, reflex saves, initiative, dex-based skills (there's more than strength), accuracy with light weapons and ranged attacks... generally, I feel dexterity has much more significance. It was meant primarily as a defensive stat. Now that we let it be used for offense too? Consider the latest discussion we've had about two weapon fighting. Can you imagine dual-wielding two light weapons with Superior Finesse? Clearly, there is no better combo for damage in any situation. So, before this gets officially approved by everyone, I would at least propose the following possibilities to nerf it a bit: - Require weapon focus, and only let this feat work with a light weapon in which you have Weapon Focus in. This simultaneously boosts the value of the Weapon Focus feat, whilst increasing the cost of Superior Finesse and decreasing its value.
- Cap the additional damage you do. Maybe to something like STR mod + 4.
- Or, perhaps, make this additional damage precision damage, thus it does not affect undead, constructs, oozes, or other things without some kind of vulnerable anatomy
- Another possibility is any armor bonus to AC a creature has (both armor armor and natural armor) directly reduces that bonus damage your dex grants you.
Well, just throwing out ideas here, but it's at least my opinion Superior Finesse, as written here is still quite overpowered.

I'm fine with this feat for the following reasons: 1. It has two prerequisite feats, which in and of themselves aren't that great. 2. It only affects one type of weapon, There is some Shadow Hand feat that does the same in ToB with multiple weapon types, and its acutally better because Dex doesn't replace STR, just adds to it. This is a weaker feat over all. 3. It costs a feat. This feat chain takes up 3 of 7(8 if Human) that most characters get. If you want to spend three feats to replace Str with Dex for a single weapon for which you already took another weapon specific feat, then by all means go ahead. I'm not going to stop you.
I'm voting to approve this as well.

Also of note, Gord's Ranger which is allowed, allows you to add dexterity to damage as well (Not replace strength), and does so for either all ranged weapons (that you can use the archery feats for, at least), or whilst dual wielding, and gives this at first level. So compared to what's available, a feat like this definitely shouldn't be out of the ordinary.

So... Gord's Ranger, Gord's Rogue, etc, all these are allowed here?
