Perigaland
Perigland is a small town of about 2000 residents nestled onto the banks Lake Esmel in the north-eastern end of Amn. About 1000 of it's residents are lightfoot Halflings, 400 are other Halflings, 300 are Gnomes of various types, 200 are Gold Dwarves and almost all of the remainder are humans. The town has few buildings of note. The largest is the wood and mud rendered brightly coloured great hall, which features the local council chambers and town meeting place, the Dalibrandy Merchant guild headquarters, and a Temple dedicated to the worship of all of the Halfling Gods (even Dallah Thaun).
A small stone and steel temple to Gond stands near the Gnome and Dwarf sector toward the west of the town and a white wooden simple shrine to Sune stands near the north gate of the town. Simple wood pallisade walls protect the town with Halfling Repeater Crossbowmen standing guard along it's length.
Small farms - mostly wheat and barely with some regular cabbage, potato and carrot - feature outside the walls, some pig and cow sheds also stand nestled against the outside of the walls. The primary produce of the town is food goods and some small volume of timber. It also features rich clay beds with a high iron ore content that allow the smiths to make quality iron goods and clay pots. Sitting on the trade route to the north called the Gem road, and being close to Esmeltaran (only half a day travel on foot) it benefits greatly from trade in the region. In particular Tethyr merchants and even the elves and other Halflings of the edges of Snakewood.
Dalibrandy History
The first Dalibrandy was a merchant that ran caravans between Keczulla and Esmeltaran in the year 1241DR. The family history states that she joined a group of adventurers and went into the Snakewood one day. It was there as a prisoner that she brefriended and fell in love with a Green Dragon, who after many many money of captivity partially returned the feelings. They had two children - both boys - who grew up in the Snakewood. Many years later more adventurers entered the forest and slew their father "freeing" the Dalibrandy family. They took to the road and though their mother was old at this point, the two Dalibrandy boys cared for her and made a decent sum of money are talented merchants and adventurers themselves. They both took lightfoot halfling wives and settled down at Esmeltaran.
One of the boys had no children of his own, but his brother was prolific, and wound up with 12 children, 8 girls and 4 boys. The eldest of the Boys was Dandur Dalibrandy who became a famous merchant in the east of Amn. It was he who founded the township of Perigaland. He also held minor positions as a respected merchant in the empire of Amn and spent much of his last days staying in Athkatla as an advisor to the high council.
In 1372DR the Dalibrandy family features 80 currently living members of various ages, all with different careers and focuses. Most of the family reside in Perigaland, but many also reside in Esmeltaran and some even travel the roads as caravaneers or adventurers.
