Lady Nouda
Lady Nouda's Character SheetIn brief, Nouda has been reworked entirely to better pursue my goals for the evolutionist build. I intend for her to be an utterly unapologetic hedonist and deliberate sadist who likes nothing more than toying with the lesser beings of this world. I am also deliberating having her be a devout worshiper of either Merrshaulk (chief deity of the Yuan Ti) Or of Sertrous (The primordial snake-demon god from Elder Evils). This will tie into the soul-stealing/bartering aspect I had on my earlier draft of the character.
Her primary contribution to team Evil will be as a front line combatant, so a big focus on Melee damage and ability to resist getting harmed. Personality wise she's looking to become a deity, so adding a few more 'divine' type abilities is also good.
I've picked up the Azure Mutator feat, and have a small essentia pool, that'll let me spend essentia for bonus mutations that last for 24 hours can can't be changed until the duration ends. This should help give her some versatility and adaptability.
Looking forward, I'm planning on going into the Worldshaker PrC, so that'll really start ramping up both her combat ability, and the overall feeling of being a mythic creature of legend rather than just a big snake.
Looking for feedback on mutations to swap around if needed, as well as things to fill in my last few feats. Part of me is of the mind that I should push for more essentia so I can have even more mutations to swap in each day, but the other part is saying that its an awfully big feat investment to get those mutations. But then, I'm not 100% certain what else to do with those slots either.
Anyhow, character link is above, and here is the current mutation list.
Party Role Proficiency:
Battlefield Control: 2.5 - Large size gives a decent reach, so she threatens a fairly large chunk. Grappling can be used to lock down multiple enemies.
Buffer: 4 - Lots of persistant effects on herself, but no temporary buffs to improve above these limits, at least under normal circumstances.
Curiosity: 2 - There are many mutations available that provide smaller benefits in specific situations, and with Azure form, she can swap these in once a day, so if she's got prep time, she's good
Debuffer: 1.5 - Stunning gaze is a nasty debuff, and Mutilate is even worse. Grappling also can remove enemies from the action, without inhibiting her own abilities.
Dominator: 4 -She can prevent a lot of actions, but not actually control anyone.
Game Changer: 3.5 - She fights nasty now, but this will drastically rise once she gets into worldshaker and starts to get really huge.
Healer: 4 - No capabilities to heal others.
Meat Shield: 1 - Solid amount of HP, Good AC and Saves, with fast healing, spell resistance and a little bit of damage reduction to really give her staying power in a fight.
Melee Damage: 1.5 - Huge strength, Large number of natural weapons, and pounce means she can rush in and deploy them all. Only real drawback is that she's going to struggle to deal with Damage reduction, since she has no real way to bypass that.
Mobility: 3 - This number is variable. Her default form has good speed, but little else. However, one of the most common mutations I'll be adding on with Azure form is dimension door, which will greatly increase overall maneuverability.
Party Face: 2.5 - Average. High charisma is nice, and she'll likely have at least some social skills, but its not going to be a focus.
Ranged Damage: 3.5 - Only one ranged attack, and thats her breath weapon. Its actual range is fairly limited, though it makes up for that by being an area attack with solid base damage. Its 5 round recharge is what kills it though. Good for an opening volly, but she needs to close in to be effective.
Sage: 4 - Average intelligence, and only a few knowledge skills. Monster sage at least makes her good at IDing other monsters, but thats about it.
Scout: 2 - She's definitely going to have good spot and listen rolls, and her ability to turn invisable makes her way stealhier than anything so large should be.
Thief: 2 - Not her focus, but again, invisibility counts for a lot when it comes to sneaking. Add her shapechaging onto that, and she can stealth her way into many unexpected places.
Summoner: 3.5 - Not her focus, but I do plan on using Azure form to pick up Lesser Planar ally when I need some extra support. Not useful in combat, but still has its utility.
Trapfinder: 4 - Nothing to offer in this respect.
