Question on the collegiate wizard feat. Would a character who took this feat gain the additional free spells for advancing in any class that fully advances wizard spell casting (i.e. Incantatrix) or only on additional "wizard" levels?
Similar question for focused specialist in Complete Mage, but regarding additional bonus spells prepared per day over and above a normal specialist in exchange for 1 less spell slot per day from each level I can cast. Do the bonus spells only apply for actual wizard levels, or for prestige classes that fully advance wizard spell casting?
I suppose this will help me decide on being an elf focused specialist diviner or an elf domain wizard with the first and third elf wizard substitution levels.....

Any PrC that advances existing spell casting would count as wizard levels in both cases for the purposes of determining the number of spells gained.

I think you want to be an Elf Wizard/Incantatrix/Focused Specialist? Am I right? In which case everything works off the base class and advances the base class. Levels gained from both Incantatrix and Focused Specialist add onto your Wizard levels for caster level and spells per day. Yes you would retroactively gain the bonus spell from specialising with Incantatrix and the bonuses from Focused Specialist. That is how it works normally unless Nine rules otherwise. I have played more wizards in my time than you could imagine. If you want help with the build just me.

That's the basic build plan yes. Perhaps 1 to 3 levels of master specialist as well, but not necessarily in an exact order. Next class level will probably be normal wizard so I can get iron will feat since my level 3 feat will be extend which will apply to a large portion of my spell selection.

And of course if I go master specialist I'll need spell focus as well.

You will need some special wizarding type adventures to ensure that you get enough cool feats then.

Feel free to check and let me know how my applicant to the realm, Keryth Myrddin stacks up. I got it cleaned up and just waiting for feedback and/or approval.
