The kobold accepted the pie, if it was offered to him from the halfling, and gives a curious sniff over the pastry. It smelled... off... to him, but it was free food, and he had been pleasantly surprised by a few dishes and food stuffs he had sampled on the surface. That didn't mean he didn't eat it any less cautiously, letting his slick reptilian tongue savor the flavor thoroughly before swallowing his first bite. "Its a shame no one really cooks with stag beetles," the kobold responded, somewhat distant for a moment before his tongue flicked a crumb from his lips into his mouth, "I guess its an acquired taste, or just something a kobold palette finds more reasonable."
The kobold did, however, decide to stay standing for the moment, although he did linger close to the two, keeping his attention mostly upon the halfling whilst also giving the frequent glance towards Blossom. Although, if there was an opening in the conversation, he would speak. "Lord... Delibrandy, isn't it? I take it I'm not the only one with dragon blood in this conversation, if your family mural is to be believed... Although a green dragon and a halfling, the mechanics of it are mind boggling..."

The Pumpkin Pies are very sweet, raisins and a nice sugar pastry crust with a light dusting of very fine powdery sugar on the top. Each slice heals 1 HP and has a 5% chance to case "Cure Disease", and a 10% chance of casting "Remove Fear" on whoever is eating it.
" Indeed the mechanics can seem puzzling at first, however Dragons have the ability to shift form - even to that of a Halfling." he chuckled as he finished his slice of pie.

"I know some of the metallic dragons can... Chromatics like a green I haven't heard possessing that ability except via use of sorcery," the kobold replied, taking another bite.

Blossom happily accepts the pie piece and takes a bite, then another. She could only assume Dunn meant 'yes', though she still didn't make such an assumption. In any case, his mischievous, secretive manner didn't bother her one bit. As he motioned for Gix to sit down, she also sat, continuing to enjoy her pie.
The mentions of dragons got her excited. "Oh! Are you part dragon too?" It seemed like it was starting to become a common conversation starter for the pixie.

"Not really, not much Dragon Blood left in our line. Though my Grandfather had green wings. We do have a penchant for a bit of a dabble in the arcane arts though. My lady Mystra smiles on us I think."

An'Drye was passing by, enjoying the small things in life for a change, dancing along with the halflings as if one of them, she had completely forgotten about the request board she had soon not long ago, that is, until she saw a very familiar face and came closer, glowing in happiness "Blossom, is that you? I didnt think this day could get any better!" she sits down along the rest of the group, simply nodding to acknowledge the kobold she had not met yet, and looking back to Blossom "It is nice to see you, and you too mister Dalibrandy, i suppose that request board was yours." she finishes, clearly mistaking him for his father or such close ancestor, she often had a hard time telling the pass of time.

"Annie!" Blossom says excitedly, nearly dropping her pie. She catches it and rapidly flutters up to see her friend. "I'm really glad to see you too! We're having pie! It's wonderful!"

An'Drye sits down with the rest, offering 2 gold pieces for a slice of pie to the lady from the church "A donation miss, i heard these pies are excelent and i wanted to try them anyway."
After tasting the delicious pies she pays more attention to the other small adventurer in the happy group, "There seem to be a lot of dragon descendants coming together here, are you a friend of Blossom as well?"

Dunn nods to the newcomer. "Well then, a group of three. That seems to be fine enough. I have a proposition for you all if you would care for it. A certain pie vendor appears to have been selling some rather bad quality pies. I cannot have that! I suspect there is more to it than bad hygiene however and I would be willing to reward you if you could get to the bottom of it."

“I'm an... acquaintance, really,” the kobold responded, using one of his clawed digits to scratch along his chin in a contemplative manner. “Although, she is one of the most... accepting... surfacers I've had the pleasure of knowing more than a passing knowledge of.” However, his attention was drawn away from the introduction with the peculiar creature, to instead glance towards the halfling that was seemingly hiring them. Bad tasting food... really? The kobold actually contemplated how he'd find the taste of those pies compared to the ones his compatriots had dug into – its quite possible his palate would find the 'poor quality' ones to be more acceptable... Especially if its meat came from giant beetles, he had been having a rather bad craving for the cooking of his home in the past while, there was only so much surface food he could stomach it seemed.
“A job's a job, if you're suspicious of someone's cooking... Just where is the pie vendor, per chance?” the kobold started thinking back to the limited sights he had seen in the city. Was it the one that was situated underneath a barbershop? Then again, he wasn't even sure that was a pastry salesmen from the angle he had.

Blossom looks at the old man rather confused. "Um... you don't like his pies? Why don't you just not buy them? Or.. you could have just asked him what he does. Maybe he's doing something wrong! Substituting applesauce for eggs is an honest mistake!"

Dunn nods at the meat pie vendor selling pies to the crowd virtually beside them. "Some strange illnesses as a result of those pies. Required magical healing to solve the problem. I do not want to say anything else in case I prejudice your investigation. Still to the facts."

Blossom's voice lowers to almost a whisper as she descends to speak more closely with Dunn. "A magical sickness?? How could-" she stopped herself, thinking that the question she was about to ask was the thing that needed to be found out anyway. But with a growing panic, she said, "W-why haven't you stopped him? These people are buying them! They're going to get sick!"
Blossom was about.. three seconds from doing something stupid.

"Because I am not entirely sure if it is the maker or the seller or perhaps even someone or something more sinister behind it. I would rather get to the source than simply nab the front man. If I start asking questions they will vanish on me. This is why strangers must do this task. Be discrete and thorough. The more you can bring me the greater your reward. If you need me I will come and help. Also..." He fishes a small wooden token with a small runic symbol on it. "Give this to any guards of the town and they will assist you if you require it."

An'Drye gladly accepts the token, placing it in her belt pouch for easy access, "Thank you very much mister Dalibrandy, it has been a while since i last visited, i wouldnt be surprised if the guards forgot me or never met me in the first place, now then, i believe there is something i can do without attracting attention." she covers both her eyes for a moment, and upon showing them again there is a faint glow in them she looks towards the meat pie vendor and his sorroundings and proceeds to continue looking around for any hints.
(she is using detect evil as a spell-like ability, anybody purposely selling pies that cause magic diseases is bound to be evil, so if the vendor isnt evil its easy to assume he either doesnt know or has a very good reason to be doing so)

"Um, okay... r-right..." Blossom says, nodding, trying to compose herself. She imagined that if Dunn wanted discrete, neither of the three would probably fit the task. Unless of course she utilized her invisibility and Gix was as much as a sneak as she remembered. Turning to the others she asked, "So what should we do? Just follow him back to his shop first? And what is it you're doing, Annie?"

Detect evil shows up nothing at all. Detect Good would have almost blinded you....
With a wink Dunn replies " I will leave the details up to you. Now if you excuse me, I have urgent business elsewhere." and with a wink and a burst of green twinkling lights he vanishes. Where he was sitting a collection of bright blue and purple flowers seems to have sprung up from nowhere.

An'Drye crosses her arms and shakes her head once, she failed to find the possible culprit among the croud, but still, it was still important information "This little trick lets me see if anyone in the sorroundings is of evil intent, which in the whole plaza has a very precise amount of... nobody, all it means is that the pie vendor knows absolutely nothing about it, Blossom, would you mind turning invisible and checking out where he gets his pies? I can only turn invisible for about 3 minutes and thats likely not enough."

"Sure, I can follow him," Blossom says happily. She finishes her own delicious pumpkin pie and also gently caresses the new purple and blue flowers. Just waiting a tad in case Gix will have any input. After a while I think the pie vendor will leave. That is when Blossom will follow. Stealth rolls will be...
