I just realized, kind of as a delayed thought, being a bit too stupid to realize it applied to me at the time when I saw them... but yeah: generic classes. Instead of sorcerer, would it be ok if blossom was just a "spellcaster"? linkWhy? Mainly because of the skill selection. I noticed that all skills she has are focused on everything that are "cross class" skills. Here's what would change: - Lose all simple weapon proficiencies (except unarmed strike). This doesn't seem to affect the character/sheet at the moment anyway, just stating it here for completeness. - Class skills: knowledge (all), Survival, Listen, Move Silently, Spot, Craft, and Profession. No longer have bluff, concentration, and spellcraft of the sorcerer. - Base spells/day drops from 6 0th level spells and 4 1st level spells to 5 and 3, respectively. - Loss of familiar and access to the Metamagic Specialist Variant. Replacing that with a bonus feat. I think I'll get Track. That's really about it. Basically change around what skills count as class skills, lose a few spells/day, and replace a feat. Another sort of "homebrew" request I have though: would it be ok to exchange both Craft and Profession for another one skill of my choice? It would be Hide. Edit: Actually, that's probably not very fair. I think these skills are always automatically given to all characters regardless of their inclination. So.. what about this instead: Trade a number of knowledge skills for that Hide skill? I could lose 3, 4, or all the ones I am not focused in. Does not particularly matter to me.

I'm not fond of having the generic classes used in this particular board. Just my opinion, but I never much liked them except on NPCs, and not much even then. However, I could go with a ACF that replaces class skills for the sorcerer. We could call it the...Sorcerer of Nature, maybe?
Alternative Class Feature: Sorcerer of Nature
Some Sorcerers, while having their magic inborn in them, are the product not of draconic bloodlines but of more wild blood.
Lose: Sorcerer Class Skills, Familiar, one spell per level per day. Gain: Class Skills as a Ranger, 4+INT skill points per level, Animal Companion as Ranger. Each sorcerer level after 4th is treated as 1/2 a ranger level in determining your animal companion's abilities and advancement.

Hmm, that could work, although I was never a fan of managing animal companions or familiars (the main reason I wanted to substitute mine for metamagic specialist in the first place).
Instead of gaining an animal companion, could I just gain Track as a bonus feat at level 1? So it would look like this.
Lose: Sorcerer Class Skills, Familiar, one spell per level per day. Gain: Class Skills as a Ranger, 4+INT skill points per level, Track at level 1.

Losing the spells hurts more than a bonus feat, but I could go for that.

Heh ok. If you feel it is rather underpowered, I could get a few more ranger qualities then, right? Say... woodland stride at class level 5, and swift tracker at level 8? (Just trying to even them out).
That's about as much as I'd ever be willing to take from Ranger though.

I think that could work.

Sure, alright, thanks! Now, I just need Blossom's page in the Adventurer's guildhall unlocked so I can make the records change there. However, my mythweavers sheet has been updated already.

Done. Make the fixes, and let me know when they're done so I can re-lock it.

Oh, crap! I.. just... One last thing! I didn't see and forgot all about it. Wild Empathy is a thing! Could I get that?
Just tell me what level it's gained at and if it should replace one of those other things I picked from ranger.

Wild Empathy is pretty powerful. I think you can have that instead of Woodland Stride and Swift Tracker. You gain it at level 2, as a Ranger of 1/2 your character level. If you take levels in Ranger or Druid, they stack with this feature.

Hmm... if you think so... although now that I saw Wild Empathy, I feel it fits Blossom more than anything else - not even tracking. You know, cause she's the type that would want to be friends with everything.
What if the ONLY feature I got was Wild Empathy? And if you still don't like that, I could cut the skillpoints I get back down to 2+Int modifier/level?

Eh, I'll relent. She can have full Wild Empathy progression and the Track feat, too.
My understanding of it being powerful is that it can end an animal encounter too easily - I once saw a druid befriend a charging rhino with it, then keep it as a pet. Given, it was a GitP campaign journal post, and I've never seen it happen again, but still...

Alright, thanks! Blossom's page is updated! Regarding your fears, however, I am a bit confused just HOW that druid pacified a CHARGING RHINO. The class feature specifically states that it takes about a minute of interaction, AND you need to be within 30 feet. Sure, maybe you can do it a bit faster, but for one thing, the animal was aggressive, and two... I'm sure the druid had only 5 seconds to interact. So I'm not sure how THAT worked... In either case... I'm sure such a feat could be replicated with Charm Monster, or with the aid of the calm emotions spell? Eh anyway. Let's just be sure no one gets away with something like that again.
