OOC for discworld adventures, all of them, no reason to flood the forum, and they wont be happening at the same time so that wont be a problem
and keryth, would you mind not having such large text on the posts? kinda makes it seem like the character is yelling, and it can get confusing

Since we're not being too serious, does anyone mind me shifting fairly quickly?

"Arrival to a Strange Place"
Drake, will it help if we post the individual thread that any OOC rolls/conversation goes in to since we have one OOC thread for anything discworld?
Observing carefully the pendant given to me in case it gets lost so I can use spell to find it again, hoping I'll not need to do that.
Keeping an eye out for any of the stores we pass that may have scrolls, maps, or books so I can visit them later if time permits.
Ua5ri0UN1d20+15 Knowledge (Arcana). Anything sticking out (such as symbols or marks) more than the rest? Especially the patterns on the stained glass windows.
1d20+6 Knowledge (History). Have I ever heard of Aurelia in my studies at the academy?
1d20+6 Knowledge (History). Specific to Lord Rincewater.
1d20+6 Sense motive on the butler, wondering if he has any motives besides what was written in the parchment.
1d20+3 Spot check. Making sure we don't get ran over by these "carriages" or anything else.
1d20+4 Listen check. Just in case our rodentia companion squeaks something intelligible.

its not going to be a problem, as i said, im only going to start another discworld adventure once this one is finished, you study the pendant and note the shops of interest, which are many, you dont see any special symbols other than the pendant's, but you can tell that a very large part of the city is magical in nature or has magic imbued in it, its clearly become a common part of the livelyhood of people here and some of the things even you wonder what kinds of spells were used to make that effect, the pendant's symbol tho, you can tell its used to bind it to the station, you also now realize why he said you could only use it from the station, as the entire city seems to be protected from teleportation and such magic effects.
you have never heard from aurelia nor rincewater, the butler seems to have no ill will and he is taking you to the palace just as he said he would, the city management was good enough to coordinate transportation in a way they wouldnt collide (basically it works like a modern street, except its magic so it has a pretty null chance of crash) you can assume the butler explains that part to all of you on the way, also you might be deaf from one side, just kidding but if he does sqeak something you dont understand it

Yeah, so I actually switched to hybrid form. Rather than full rat.So I won't be able to fit on your shoulder...
And would probably bite you if I did.
Keama keeps an eye out for anything interesting (read:stealable) and keeps his ears pricked up also.

if by stealable you mean of value, theres plenty to go around, if you mean easily stolen it seems easy, but the magical properties make you uneasy about it, who knows what kind of protection they could have, you can also tell that common folk are whispering from afar as you pass by them, but you cant quite make out what they are saying

Probably something along the lines of "go grab some nails and start bolting things down, I don't like the look of the little git with the tail."

Not sure if I should post as below in OOC thread or not since I'm still new to online rpg and all. So I'll post it here for now. Not sure how to do the spoiler part on a thread.
I'm unsure of timeline on arrival and everything, but would like to swap a couple prepared spells if you think the time would allow. Ray of clumsiness and ray of enfeeblement for one an extra preparation of lesser orb of cold and grease. This would be based on my guess that "conjuration - creation" type spells (such as the created barricade) may be more effective against these attackers.
Also a prepared Extended Mage Armor on myself, duration ten hours.
This would leave the following spells ready to roll in my generalist spell slots once I cast the extended Mage Armor. Dispel Magic x 1 Glitterdust x 1 Lesser Orb of Cold x 2 Grease x 2
Before we "jump the wall" so to speak, I'll do a few things as time permits if it looks like we will be close to a combat situation.
Extended combat readiness on myself, duration ten minutes.
Mage Armor from wand on any of the team who may want it.

you can have your spell-list ready as you see fit this time
ok on extended mage armor, anything after reaching the wall we will have to see

Keryth, the spells above are all that you have access to today?
Youngdead would be more than happy to get STR buffs, speed boosts, DEX buffs. Grease would be helpful in a lock-down situation. Once he switches to non-lethal damage and starts beating the ever-loving piss out of one of them a greased floor could keep it in place (getting up from prone tends to cause an AoO).

Those are the non-divination spells prepared. I'm a focused diviner with spontaneous divination so those specialist slots don't need to be prepared. I can do divination spells on the fly. The only helpful divination spell I can cast on others in combat is combat readiness, plus i can cast unluck on an opponent. I also have a wand to boost your initiative if need be.
Would youngdead be able to stand up in the grease ok if it was centered on him and a beasty near him?

I enjoy grease myself if only because I'm not very accurate though they may not have a good dexterity score. Sadly I have no ranks in balance and all my ac comes from movement so it is very important I do not get hit with the grease.

There's a pretty good chance he'd pass the initial reflex save if he's in the range (assuming dc 16, his balance is +9 IIRC). But if you make the edge of the spell end just before him then the enemy would be caught in it without downing him as well. An initiative boost would be great, but realistically we can hover and wait until we have 'top' initiative if we pass on the chance to get a surprise round. Turns out it's +10, according to www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=1138040
